DANIELA
Daniela grew up in a small rural community where neighbours and friends are always wellcome for a tazza di caffè or a
bicchiere di vinsanto and biscotti. She inherited a family passion for cooking simple and healthy dishes,
using fresh, natural food, first from her mother, very fond of good cooking, from greatgrandmother Emma, of course, and from a long list of aunts, friends, women that taught
her this fine art. She also refines her skills attending special cooking class, like Expert in preservation of local
food and traditions, Officina del Gusto: Norcia Black Truffle, Lentils, Salami and Cheese..
In 1981 she gets a PhD in Foreign Languages, fluent in English and good in Spanish and German.
In 1983 she gets a Master in Tourism Expert.
In 1989 she gets a licence as Tour Leader and Tour Manager by Regione Umbria.
She's been working in tourism for 25 years.
In 2004 she finally makes her dream come true founding AltraUmbria along with other women that share her passion of
hosting people and show them the most secluded and impressive sites of Umbria.
Happy Cooking is her own project and focuses the attention on offering true home cooking lessons to rediscover genuine flavours.
