SLOW TOURISM IN UMBRIA
... if you aren’t in a hurry ......
Slow tourism is discover impressive atmospheres, slow-lifestyle, history, traditions. Brieftaking landscapes, hills surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Food and wine tours: guided visits at cellars, winery, wine properties, crossing Umbria Wine Roads, Montalcino, Chianti hills.
If you are deeply interested in the history and origins of Italian food and gastronomic tradition and want to visit farms that produce local typical food, do contact us to create a cooking/active holiday just for you!

Slow tourism is quite flexible along with your travel plans. If you like some activities of the calendar but you come in different periods, or want to match some visits with tasting tours and more (or less) cookery lessons you can plan any possible solution. Also if you are travelling with a group you may pick up the offers that you think might be more fitting ...
Your private tour is escorted by bilingual licensed tour managers. Groups are kept small and vary from 2 to 6
participants, on request private car or a minivan with licensed driver.
If you have got your own car you still have the tour booked along with the guide.
Happy Cooking arranges appointments and meeting with your guide.
We suggest to have your own guide because travelling with a local allows you to get in touch with the real culture, enrich your visit
in deepness, tells you things that travel books might not say. This is the "file rouge" of our mission.
